I was specifically looking for a key operated safe that would fit into a space in a wardrobe and this model suited those requirements perfectly.

I wanted to bolt the safe to the wall and holes in the rear allowed me to do that. There is also an option to fix it through the base as well.

This model is well made, has a good specification and is reasonably priced.

I’ve bought small safes before but by far this is the best yet!! The weight alone is incredible! We joked and said we’d like to see someone try and run up the road with this...lol. But on a serious note, it’s so well made and for such a small safe it really does give you peace of mind. Would definitely buy one of these again.

Very robust product we had A burglary in our restaurant and after they ripped open our older safe with a screw driver (still have no idea how they many to accomplish this as it was a larger heavier safe )we wanted a safe that was strong but not so large so we could hide it a little better.after looking online on several sites I noticed how reasonable in price these were from safe.co.uk.very easy to navigate through a large selection of different safes on there we picked one out that was under £150 easy to install myself we opted to bolting it through walls and floor with the large screws that it came with.my only complain is that it only came with two keys and when I contacted them they said £45 a key and we needed 2

Having spent quite some time planning and deliberating the right size suitable for my requirements, and importantly the dimensions for where it will be positioned I decided on the Lynx SS1171K. Perfect size and feels reassuringly solid and although moderate in size, has a real weight to it even before bolting to anything making it slightly difficult to move around. The lock mechanism is silky smooth and has operated beautifully every day since purchase and the interior shelf makes organising valuables inside easy to see and retrieve in use. Overall I am very happy with the safe and is very high quality for the price.

After three burglaries, the police advised us: "Get a German Shepherd Dog or a safe". We decided on a belt-and-braces approach and got both. The dog is not as frightening as we had hoped, but our Phoenix Lynx SS1171k safe is likely to deter any ne'er-do-well. Even though it is one of the smaller safes it is a solid, chunky affair, and far too heavy for anyone to run off with it. We went for a mechanical lock and key rather than an electronic lock, because we felt there was less to go wrong. And, despite its bulk, our new safe has plenty of room for spare cash and valuables. We would tell you where we have mounted it - but that's a secret!

Unfortunately this safe is not fire rated, however if you are looking for a small domestic fire safe I can recommend the FireStar Fireproof Home Safe.

Standard Safe <25kg Installation

We offer professional installation on our complete range of lightweight safes under 25kgs.

Our experienced engineer will complete a brief site inspection and then discuss their findings with you to agree positioning of your safe.

Your installation will include bolting the safe to the floor or wall using the anchor bolts included with your safe. Anchor bolts are designed for use with a solid surface such as brick or concrete. We cannot install your safe to floorboards or a stud plasterboard wall.

If you are choosing a wall installation you must ensure the skirting board has been removed prior to installation.

The position of your safe will be governed by safe site access, and other obstructions such as submerged pipes/cables or under floor heating.

The engineer will carry out a final assessment to ensure the safe is secure before providing a brief demonstration of your safe and confirming the installation has been completed to your satisfaction.

Non-standard Installation

In some cases, it may be necessary to install additional materials or provide extra resources (manpower) to facilitate an installation in a safe manner.

If additional costs are likely these will be discussed with you prior to installation. Reasons for extra costs might include:

  • Specialised access equipment and permits such as hoists, lifts and cranes.
  • Outside of normal hours working (Mon-Fri, 9am to 5pm).
  • 4x4 Vehicular access requirements to remote rural sites.
  • Road closure including necessary permits.
  • Additional manpower to overcome technical, lifting or safety access issues.

We offer installation throughout the UK mainland, however some more remote and rural post codes in the Highlands are subject to a surcharge to cover additional fuel and traveling time costs.

The following areas will incur a rural travel surcharge:

£55.00 Surcharge Areas

  • PH 1 - 26 (No coverage in other PH postcodes)
  • PA 1 - 19 (No coverage in other PA postcodes)
  • KA 19, 26

  • AB
  • DD
  • TD
  • DG

These additional elements are deemed to fall outside the definition of a 'Standard Installation'. If you feel your installation might be non-standard please contact us to discuss your individual requirements.

If applicable, additional costs are to be paid before installation begins.

Warranty Terms & Conditions

Our installer provides a standard 12 month warranty on all new installations and a 3 month warranty on all materials provided during maintenance visits.

Note: Existing system components and pre-supplied equipment are not included in the installation warranty as these elements are covered by the Manufacturer warranty.

We reserve the right to undertake an ‘Assessment Call’ without prejudice to investigate any complaints relating to materials failure or poor workmanship to assess if the complaint is valid. Please note that remedial service calls generated by elements outside of our sphere of influence or due to different fault conditions will be chargeable to you at an agreed call out charge.

In scenarios where you request a post installation service call and our assessment identifies the fault condition or cause of the fault falls outside of the limitations of the standard installation warranty (Force Majeure, different fault etc) a call out charge will be incurred for the visit.

Assessment calls raised for reasons outside our sphere of influence or responsibility and not covered by the standard installation will incur a call out charge for labour and additional materials.

The following are examples of when a call out charge would be incurred:

  • Accidental Damage
