I decided to buy a safe after discovering I had a light-fingered cleaner. It’s been two months and I've been very pleased with this safe and it gives a lot of peace of mind. It's a good size to fit a selection of valuables and paperwork in. It feels very sturdy, great build quality (tightly fitting door) and has a reassuring tank-like weight to it.

The only downside is the interior light. It’s a nice feature but quickly stopped working. It’s no major loss as it’s not needed.

I would highly recommend this safe, and would highly recommend safe.co.uk for the quick and free delivery, decent prices and great service.

The Securikey Mini Vault Silver 0K is a compact home and office security safe designed to protect cash and valuables from burglary attack. This safe comes with a recommended insurance rating of £4,000 cash or £40,000 valuables and is secured by a high security double bitted key lock, supplied with 2 keys. The back and base of the safe are pre-drilled with fixing holes for floor or wall installation. There are also 3 larger sizes available in this range.

Needs 4 instead of 2 mounting holes in the rear of the casing and to supply top quality Rawl-bolts not the ones you provided that tend to pull right through in cement blocks. These bolts are terrible.

Solidly made product. Easy to install. Lots of storage capacity, and fits an A4 document ok.

Build quality is perfectly ok, but not very precise - the door has more play in than I'd have liked. Not really a problem, but could be better. Also only supplying two keys is a bit stingy, and extras are expensive.

The safe itself is fantastic. Great build quality, ease of use and storage capacity. Only thing to make not of is that the internal light isn't great.

Battery didn't last longer than a few weeks with the light being activated on a handful of times.

Would definitely recommend the safe itself.

One thing has let it down.

The rotating flap that covers the key hole has become lose and the ball bearings have come out. I’m unable to fix it.

Promptly delivered, as promised. The build quality is very good, not just the casing, but the locking mechanism, everything. The interior motion sensor light was a little tricky to get securely mounted but once there it has stayed in place. Adequate room inside to keep documents, such as wills and passports along with our valuables.

The little safe has good capacity, easy to use and does what it needs to! It’s not massive which means it can be fitted somewhere a bit more discreet, but big enough for putting important things in. I’ve not tried screwing it to the wall yet, but my partner was confident it wouldn’t be an issue!

Do I need to bolt the safe down?

We will always recommend that the safe is bolted down for added security. There is a professional installation service available for this unit which is listed in the delivery options. The fixings are supplied with the unit so you could install this yourself, however if you're purchasing for insurance purposes it is best to check with your insurance broker as they may stipulate that the item must be professionally installed.

Most small safes for jewellery say you can bolt both into the floor and the wall. Would you be able to bolt into the floor and wall for extra security?

Standard Safe <25kg Installation

We offer professional installation on our complete range of lightweight safes under 25kgs.

Our experienced engineer will complete a brief site inspection and then discuss their findings with you to agree positioning of your safe.

Your installation will include bolting the safe to the floor or wall using the anchor bolts included with your safe. Anchor bolts are designed for use with a solid surface such as brick or concrete. We cannot install your safe to floorboards or a stud plasterboard wall.

If you are choosing a wall installation you must ensure the skirting board has been removed prior to installation.

The position of your safe will be governed by safe site access, and other obstructions such as submerged pipes/cables or under floor heating.

The engineer will carry out a final assessment to ensure the safe is secure before providing a brief demonstration of your safe and confirming the installation has been completed to your satisfaction.

Additional Information

Non-standard Installation

In some cases, it may be necessary to install additional materials or provide extra resources (manpower) to facilitate an installation in a safe manner.

If additional costs are likely these will be discussed with you prior to installation. Reasons for extra costs might include:

  • Specialised access equipment and permits such as hoists, lifts and cranes.
  • Outside of normal hours working (Mon-Fri, 9am to 5pm).
  • 4x4 Vehicular access requirements to remote rural sites.
  • Road closure including necessary permits.
  • Additional manpower to overcome technical, lifting or safety access issues.

We offer installation throughout the UK mainland, however some more remote and rural post codes in the Highlands are subject to a surcharge to cover additional fuel and traveling time costs.

The following areas will incur a rural travel surcharge:

These additional elements are deemed to fall outside the definition of a 'Standard Installation'. If you feel your installation might be non-standard please contact us to discuss your individual requirements.

If applicable, additional costs are to be paid before installation begins.

Warranty Terms & Conditions

Our installer provides a standard 12 month warranty on all new installations and a 3 month warranty on all materials provided during maintenance visits.

Note: Existing system components and pre-supplied equipment are not included in the installation warranty as these elements are covered by the Manufacturer warranty.

We reserve the right to undertake an ‘Assessment Call’ without prejudice to investigate any complaints relating to materials failure or poor workmanship to assess if the complaint is valid. Please note that remedial service calls generated by elements outside of our sphere of influence or due to different fault conditions will be chargeable to you at an agreed call out charge.

In scenarios where you request a post installation service call and our assessment identifies the fault condition or cause of the fault falls outside of the limitations of the standard installation warranty (Force Majeure, different fault etc) a call out charge will be incurred for the visit.

Assessment calls raised for reasons outside our sphere of influence or responsibility and not covered by the standard installation will incur a call out charge for labour and additional materials.

The following are examples of when a call out charge would be incurred:

  • Incorrect User Diagnosis
