The door aperture measures 430mm in width. So you will have no issues fitting your Laptop (415mm) through the door.

The safes internal dimensions are considerably larger than your laptop and the safe door has an opening width of 430mm making this safe more than suitable for your laptop.

While it is possible, the safe is designed to be sat in the correct position as then it can be bolted down accordingly. for a top loading safe I can recommend the Securikey Top Loading Safe.
