The safe arrived promptly after I placed my order and was very easy to install. However the bolts supplied to secure to the floor were not very good and I had to use alternative fixings

I am thinking of buying a Zeta 25 or 35 safe and would need delivery and installation to my home. I was wondering what advice you give on where the best place to site a safe is? I was thinking about in the under stairs cupboard so it can be bolted to the floor / wall but is there a better place?
Pamela
This safe needs to be located either on a concrete floor or flush against a solid brick wall in order to install it. Locating the safe in an area where this can be achieved is my advice.

Keeping your safe out of sight is also another good idea. Areas such as under the stairs or loft are great locations. Take a look at our Beat the Burglar guide with tips from the BBC's Michael Fraser. His advice is “Burglars rarely target the loft making it the safest place to keep your valuables”.

What happens if the battery fails when the safe is locked or if the number is forgotten?
Anonymous
If the batteries run flat while the safe is locked new batteries are fitted on the outside of the safe so they can be easily replaced.

Due to the high security level this safe has no back-up access. If you you forget your PIN code the safe would have to be forced open by a safe engineer.
