First Alert 2017 Document Box

The Document Box Series by First Alert is designed to protect documents from fire and is available in a range of three sizes, 2011, 2017 and the largest unit designed for hanging suspension files, 2037. The Honeywell document boxes provide portable and compact fire resistant storage and are ideal in both the home or office.

The 2011 fire resistant document box is the smallest in the First Alert range and is suitable for storing up to 3.5 inches of A5 paper laid flat. The medium sized model, 2017 is designed to store up to 3 inches of A4 paper laid flat while the largest model, 2037 is equipped with 8 hanging suspension files and provides the maximum storage capacity for the range.

All models are equipped with a cylinder key lock supplied with two keys and are certified to the American UL fire test, providing 30 minutes fire protection for documents and digital media including CDs, DVDs, Memory Sticks and External Hard Drives.

Pros

I bought this product after checking out specifications - especially internal dimensions - and this document box fulfilled my expectations. Very solid and well made which inspires confidence should it ever be required to protect documents from fire.

The safe is of adequate size to store all my important documents up to A4 size

It is heavy - but it wouldn't serve its purpose if it wasn't
